Diamond Engineering invests in the future of its machine shop with new Soraluce FS10000 Floor Borer

Diamond Engineering has signalled their intent in regard to the future of their machine shop with the installation of their newest and most impressive machine to date: a large floor-type borer which will boost capability and capacity for years to come.

The new machine boasts a 10m by 4m traverse, a 6m fixed bed and 3m rotary table, a 64-position fully-automatic tool changer and a universal head and will work alongside Diamond Engineering’s Juaristi Floor Borer, which has provided customers with previously unrivalled capability and successful project outcomes for many years.

Installation of the new machine has been a mammoth task, due to the enormous footprint of the FS10000 and the precision needed to ensure that the machine sits completely level and that vibration is kept to an absolute minimum, and has included final checks from the Soraluce team themselves.

The Diamond Engineering machine shop team is incredibly excited to see the new floor borer in action, with capacity already filling up from similarly excited customers.
