Diamond Group is proud to recognise the success of the Acorn Amble 2026, which raised an outstanding £25,512.77 in support of Lenny’s Legacy, a Sheffield-based charity providing valuable support to families across Yorkshire and beyond.

A key part of this year’s event was our very own Andrew Smith, Project Manager at Diamond Engineering, who helped organise the Acorn Amble and bring people together in support of this important cause.

Bringing People Together for a Great Cause

Held on 11 July 2026, the Acorn Amble challenged participants to complete a 20-mile trek through the beautiful Peak District and surrounding countryside. Starting in Castleton, the route passed a number of well-known local landmarks, including Ladybower Reservoir, Low and High Bradfield, Oughtibridge, Grenoside, Ecclesfield and Wharncliffe Woods, before finishing at the Acorn Inn.

The event is an established annual fixture that has raised tens of thousands of pounds for various charitable causes over the years. This year’s fantastic total of £25,512.77 is their most successful event so far, and a significant milestone, reflecting the dedication of the organisers, participants, volunteers and everyone who contributed to the fundraising effort.

Supporting Lenny’s Legacy

This year’s chosen charity, Lenny’s Legacy, works to support bereaved parents by creating welcoming, compassionate spaces where people can connect with others who understand their experiences. Through free events and community support, the charity helps families feel less alone and provides opportunities to build meaningful connections.

The work carried out by Lenny’s Legacy is a valuable part of the local community, and Diamond Group was pleased to make a donation in support of the charity and the important work it continues to deliver.

Recognising Andy’s Contribution

At Diamond Group, we recognise that making a positive contribution to our communities can take many forms. Andrew’s involvement in helping organise the Acorn Amble is a great example of the commitment and initiative shown by our people beyond their day-to-day roles.

We are delighted to recognise the time and effort Andrew dedicated to helping bring this year’s event together. His involvement, alongside the hard work of the wider organising team, helped make the 2026 Acorn Amble a memorable success.

The achievement also reflects the power of people coming together around a shared goal. From those who planned the event and completed the 20-mile route to those who donated and supported the fundraising, every contribution helped make a difference.

Diamond Group would like to congratulate Andy and everyone involved in the Acorn Amble 2026 on raising an incredible £25,512.77 for Lenny’s Legacy. We are proud to have supported this year’s fundraising and look forward to seeing the continued positive impact of this fantastic event in the community.
