Diamond Design invests in new state-of-the-art scanning capabilities

Diamond Design is pleased to announce the latest addition to its growing metrology and reverse engineering capabilities with the investment in a cutting-edge NimbleTrack 3D Scanner.

The new system represents a significant step forward in portable 3D scanning technology. Unlike traditional handheld scanners, the NimbleTrack uses an advanced optical tracking system to continuously monitor the scanner’s position in space. This allows it to capture highly accurate 3D data without relying on fixed targets across the component, making it particularly well suited to large, complex or difficult-to-access parts.

Its lightweight, wireless design also provides exceptional flexibility, allowing our engineers to carry out high-precision scanning both in our facilities and on customer sites. Whether working in a manufacturing environment, capturing existing components for reverse engineering or inspecting fabricated parts against their original CAD models, the NimbleTrack delivers fast, reliable and highly accurate results.

The investment further strengthens Diamond Design’s capabilities in reverse engineering, dimensional inspection and metrology. By producing detailed digital models of existing components and accurately verifying manufactured parts, the technology enables us to support customers with everything from legacy component reproduction and design development through to quality assurance and product validation.

Beyond Diamond Design, the new scanner enhances the capabilities of the wider Diamond Group. The ability to rapidly capture accurate dimensional data will support larger and more complex projects across Diamond Engineering, Diamond Rail and Diamond Responsive Engineering, providing valuable data throughout the design, manufacturing, inspection and maintenance lifecycle.
